Maureen - It so happens I am touching on this topic in a presentation for a
Washington State Bar CLE seminar next month. Wyoming has similar
leglislation allowing EDGAR type electronic corporate annual report
filings, the Electronic Filing Act: HEA0072, Wyo. Stat. 9-1-306 (1995).
Utah also has passed the Utah Digital Signature Act, SB0082. California
currently has a Digital Signatures bill pending (AB1577). All of these can
be found at their respective state legislative gophers, available as a group
from L.C. at URL:
gopher://marvel.loc.gov./11/federal/state.local/
Could you or anyone else on the list provide the cites to the MS, NC, IL
and any other states that have passed or are considering this type of
legislation?
TIA.
