This sounds like something Gerry Spence would say. I have a vague
recollection of seeing him on Larry King recently, either expounding on
this topic or promoting a new book on the subject. (I think the Larry
King show is included in the CNN file on Nexis).

Also, Rumpole must have something to say about this, but I don't know of
any quick way to find quotes from either the TV series or John Mortimer's
books. Maybe there are some Rumpole fans out there who would know?
