At Yale we have recently distributed passwords and software to 1st years
in November, providing training on job hunting databases and citators only.
We then give full training in the beginning of the second semester. This
has worked reasonably well with only a small decrease in 1st years
attending the full training in the spring. We would prefer to try a more
integrated approach to legal research training but have yet to overcome
some of the standard hurdles.
