CRIV PUBLISHERS' OPEN FORUM - MEAD DATA CENTRAL PRESIDENT TO

At this year's AALL conference in Seattle, the Committee on
Relations with Information Vendors (CRIV) will once again present
an Open Forum with representatives from the legal information
provider industry. This year's speaker will be RODNEY L.
EVERHART, President of Mead Data Central, Inc.
The 1994 Forum will be held immediately following the 1993/94
CRIV Business meeting, scheduled for 3:00 PM on Sunday July 10th.
The Open Forum format provides librarians with the opportunity to
ask questions, as well as offer constructive criticism and
praise, of industry executives. Over the past year, many AALL
members have asked the CRIV to present a speaker from the
electronic publishing division of the legal publishing industry,
so come please come prepared to participate. The recent
announcement that Mead is looking to sell its LEXIS/NEXUS
services will, no doubt, be one of the key topics librarians will
be interested in discussing.
If you will be unable to attend the Forum, but have specific
questions you want addressed, please contact me and I will make
sure your concerns are addressed.
