To our Colleagues and their Guests who are Coming from Abroad to Attend the
Annual Meeting of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) in Boston:
Balancing between postal mail time requirements and a one-shot chance to the
most complete list of international registrants from HQ necessitated missing
some of you. This message is for those who didn't hear from me before they
left their home bases.
The Foreign, Comparative and International Law SIS (FCIL SIS) is pleased to
invite you to a simple reception that the SIS is holding to welcome you and,
in our small way, show you that we value your presence at this Annual Meeting
of the AALL. The reception will immediately follow the FCIL SIS annual
business meeting. The business meeting will start at 4:00 p.m. and last for an
hour or so; the reception will follow at shortly after 5:00. You are also
welcome to the business meeting which is open to members of AALL; however,
only members can vote. Please check the final program for the location - it
should be listed under the FCIL SIS Business Meeting.
We also wish to invite you to sit with some members of the FCIL SIS during the
Opening Luncheon Monday noon. Please let me know as soon as possible if we
will have the pleasure of your company. You may get in touch with me through
any of the means below, up to July 8. I'm flying to Boston very early on the
9th and will be staying at the Marriot. If this is the first time that you
will be joining us, look for the UN flag when you come into the luncheon hall.
I hope you can join us. We look forward to meeting and visiting with you.
