AALL Annual Meeting Newspaper

SHEARJ@bcvax1.bc.edu
Date: 06/17/93

I had hoped to make this announcement in print at the same time as I make
it electronically, but since the June issue of the AALL Newsletter is not
yet out (as far as I know), I'd like to ask you to share this announcement
with anyone who may not have seen this notice, but might like to know.

Headline: The Beantown Beacon Lights the Way at the Annual
Meeting

Extra! Extra! Read all about it in the Beantown Beacon,
Boston's only daily newspaper devoted exclusively to AALL and
published only during the AALL 1993 Annual Meeting. Read the
Beacon for the latest information on schedule updates, room
changes, and program highlights. In addition each issue will
provide extensive photographic and editorial coverage of the
meeting including programs, special events, the exhibit
floor, and late-breaking news. The first copy of the
Beantown Beacon will appear in your registration packet. The
subsequent issues will be available for pick-up around the
exhibit hall at the Hynes Auditorium.

The Beantown Beacon's team of crackerjack reporters are
always on the lookout for important news. If you are
planning an activity at the Annual Meeting, you can send a
press release to Joan Shear, Boston College Law Library, 885
Centre Street, Newton Centre, MA 02159-1161, by Monday, June
21, for coverage in the Sunday paper. We accept floppy
discs- Mac or IBM. If you've forgone snail-mail, you can
e-mail hot tips to SHEARJ@BCVMS.BC.EDU (internet) or
SHEARJ@BCVMS (bitnet). If deadlines always seem to get the
better of you, fax last minute information leaks to Joan
Shear at (617) 552-2889.

If you are interested in exploring advertising possibilities
in the Beantown Bugle, contact C. Rodgers Kines at
CustomNews, Inc. at P. O. Box 15009, Chevy Chase, Maryland
20815, (410) 252-3967 for a price list and other
specifications.

During the convention, deadlines for the Monday - Wednesday
editions will be 1:00 p.m. of the preceding day. Watch of
one for our roving reporters, or bring your story to the
Beantown Beacon office located next to the Exhibit Hall.
