Dear Angela: You can obtain current copies of EPA's "Enforcement
Accomplishments Report" from Robert Banks, Compliance Evaluation Branch, at
(202) 260-8296. He is not in today--I called to see if the the FY 1993 is
available yet. The most current I have is FY 1992, which was released in
April of 1993. This report may or may not be ideal for what you want--it
summarizes important enforcement actions in each statutory area, and has a
variety of charts and graphs as to average penalties, highest penalties,
etc. In one chart, "EPA Administrative Actions Initiated (By Act),
FY1972-FY 1992", it shows 311 FIFRA actions for FY 1992. If you want to
call me at (202) 639-6337, I can look up some more charts for you.
If anyone else know how to just pull these stats off the net, I would like
to know too.

I have been asked by a professor to locate information on the net
regarding how active the EPA has been in enforcing FIFRA (Federal
Insecticide Fungicide and Rodenticide Act). He specifically wants to
know how many actions have been brought by the EPA within the last five
years, amount of penalties, etc. Apparently, someone told him this
information was available on the net and he would like to get these
statistics.
After trying myself for over an hour, our computer systems guru
and I worked on this question for another hour and were unable to
find the info. I have found - on our library shelves - an "EPA
Enforcement Progress Report" that has the type of statistics we need, but
it is out of date (1976) and the professor wants the information from the
net. So, if anyone has any ideas, I would really appreciate any leads.
