We have a SDI service for faculty. At the beginning of the school year,
we ask them to provide us with a list of interests. Our reference
librarians scan all the journals we receive in addition to about 6
daily newspapers. We photocopy the TofC of journals which have
articles of interest and route them to the faculty as well as news-
paper articles. This is work that can be done at the Reference Desk
because it can be easily interrupted. The librarians also keep up
to date with the literature and the news and what the faculty are
doing.
