As I understand it the acceptable net behavior is to summarize
the responses to your mail. As for people being to shy to
respond to your post, I'm not sure that is what's going on.
My feeling is that most of those that responded directly to
you, did so in an effort to instruct you while not directly
embarrass you. Some are shy, and some peoples mail readers
are not good at understanding where to send replys. For
instance, the first time I tried to send this letter to
the list via "reply", my mail reader formated it for your
address. I aborted it at the last second, and retyped it
to the list's address.
As for your last comment, I have always HATED to speak in
class. But I love the faceless, semi-anonymity of
posting! ;-)
