I recommend that you try F-Prot for your virus detection/vaccination needs.
I've been using it for over a year and have found it easy to set up, simple
to use, fast in its execution, and very accurate in finding viruses. The
shareware version is free to individual users, while the site license for
commercial establishments is very reasonable (unfortunately, I don't
remember what they charge).
The most recent version of F-Prot (as well as other anti-virus programs,
such as Thunderbyte and McAfee's Scan and Clean) is available via annonymous
FTP from the Oak Archives:
ftp oak.oakland.edu
path: /pub/msdos/virus
I assumed that you need this software for DOS based computers. IF you're
running a Mac or a Unix based system, then you'll need something other than
F-Prot. If that's the case, then F-Prot won't be of any use to you.
Good luck.
