POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Coordinator/Director of Public Services
Texas Wesleyan University School of Law Library, Irving, TX 75061
REQUIREMENTS: Minimum four years public services experience in an
academic law library; experience with personnel management;
demonstrated supervisory/ managerial ability; strong written and
oral communication skills; thorough knowledge of legal bibliography
and legal research processes; computer literate; awareness of
developments in librarianship; J.D. from an ABA accredited school;
M.L.S. from an ALA accredited school.
DESCRIPTION: Manage all aspects of the public services and
research/reference services department, including interlibrary
loan, reserve, circulation, on-line research services, reference
services, and faculty research support; work on short and long term
planning issues to achieve Library mission; supervise all
departmental personnel; formulate policies and procedures for the
operation of the department; participate in development and
implementation of Information Assets Policy; engage in professional
activities.
Preliminary interviews will be held at the Seattle annual meeting;
the school is registered at the Placement Office.
