Full-time, professional position:
Working title: Reference Librarian/Computer Research Specialist
Duties: Provide reference service to School of Law faculty and students
and other Legal Research Center patrons. Serve as Legal Research Center
specialist for computer-based legal and bibliographic information.
Coordinate access to electronic legal information resources. Offer training
in use of electronic and other legal research resources. Supervise Reference
Assistant in management of Computer Instructional Lab.
NOTE: Includes some evening and weekend duties.
Requirements: Accredited M.L.S. and J.D. degrees; law library experience;
demonstrated knowledge of traditional legal research methods and legal
reference work, all forms of information technology used in legal research
and instruction, bibliographic utilities, integrated library automation
systems, computer technology and software systems; excellent interpersonal,
problem-solving, organizational, verbal and writing skills.
Preferred: Supervisory experience.
