NOTE: This message is specifically for NOTIS Users.
Is anyone out there interested in a wonderful opportunity to
further the goals of the NOTIS Law Users Group, while at the same
time, gain valuable experience in program planning? Yes, it's time
to select a new member of the NLUG Steering Committee. For anyone
out there unfamiliar with the group, the Steering Committee was
established according to the 1991 NLUG Bylaws "to organize and
coordinate projects, plan official meetings, and serve as the
liaison with NOTIS, Inc." The Committee is comprised of three
members elected for two year terms. As the terms are staggered,
this year we are seeking *one* new member.
While not mandatory for selection to the Committee, it is certainly
helpful if you can attend the NOTIS Users Group Meeting held every
October in Chicago as well as the annual AALL meeting. Activities
of the group generally include planning a program to be presented
at NUGM in addition to planning the annual NOTIS Breakfast held in
conjunction with AALL.
If you are interested in serving on the Committee or if you can
persuade a friend of yours it would be a "good experience" for
them, please submit all names to me by JULY 8. Nominations will
also be accepted from the floor during the NOTIS Breakfast to be
held Sunday, July 11. If we have a number of interested parties, we
will probably hold an election during the breakfast if that is
agreeable to everyone.
Submit all names (preferably via E-mail) to:
