I am stunned by the naivete of the remarks in today's Journal re library
billing. It completely ignores the specialized skills librarians bring to
their jobs, and the fact that many reseach projects can be handled
more efficiently and at a lower hourly rate. I understand SLA and AALL
are planning a response to the editor, but I think a response to
the Law Audit Services auditor quoted in the article would also
be appropriate.
