Thanks to all who responded to my question about the studies. I
was able to track down the Curran & Carson, but the other one
seems to be unpublished. Does anyone know where Carroll Seron
(the author) is?
And on to another question. I need to do a search of Australian
newspapers, children's books, etc. that use speaking Australian
animals to teach children (about geography, etc.). For example,
the Daily Telegraph in Sydney ran a comic strip called the Kanga
Street Gang, that ran on Sundays - but it is no longer published.
Does anyone have any idea how I can do this search? I don't mind
calling Australia, but don't know any of the libraries there. Do
you think this is the type of search that a library would perform
for me? Alternatively, are there any US sources for Australian
newspapers, books, etc.? Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
