I have yet to work in a library or law firm where there were
reliable, solid, good photocopiers which would stand up to the volume of
work required of them. It seems to me and many of my colleagues here
that they simply are not made that way - maybe because the companies make
more on maintenance than they could charge for decent copiers. (?) We
replaced all our old copiers this year, and the ones we have now are
worse than the ones we gave up. This is the number one sore point with
students and lawyers about the library (although printers are a close
contender for that position).
