_Wired_ Magazine

I have recently discovered _Wired_ magazine, and I wanted to
recommend it to anyone interested in new technology and how it is
affecting our lives. _Wired_ has been called "the Rolling Stone
of Cyberspace," and that's probably a pretty good description.
I've read two issues cover to cover, which is something I rarely
do, and I've found it fascinating and informative.

I have the December 1993 issue in front of me, and it has several
articles of potential interest to lawyers and law librarians: an
article on the National Security Archive and its collection of
FOIA materials (soon to be available via Gopher), on page 48;
email encryption (page 25); and FinCEN, the Financial Crimes
Enforcement Network (page 91).

Subscriptions are $39.95 for 1 year (12 issues); call 1-800-SO
WIRED (800-769-4733), or email subscriptions@wired.com, or mail
to Wired, P.O. Box 191826, San Francisco, CA 94119-9866.

(I promise that I have no connection whatsoever with _Wired_; I
just think it's an excellent resource to know about.)
