Getting Along

I enjoy reading the mail on this list because it covers a wide range of
topics, some more directly related to law librarianship than others.
However, there are probably a fair number of people out there who access
e-mail through systems that limit the volume of messages which can be
accomodated at one time. For people in that situation, one or two very
lengthy messages can completely fill their disk space, causing problems in
retrieving mail. I know this is true because it frequently happened on
the e-mail system at the university where I used to work.

Perhaps we could all try to be more concise when we post mail to the list.
It might be possible to eliminate copying the text of original messages
into replys, for example. Posting brief summaries of lengthy items
already available on other lists might also be helpful.
