The processing of classified materials (both new titles and added volumes) is
supervised by the Cataloging staff. A paraprofessional supervises student workers

workers. The Catalogers REVIreviews newadded volumes for changes in caltaloging and
provides special instsruructions, fiif needed fo, for processing of new titles.
The processing of unclassified materials (in our case, reporters, digests,
periodicals) is supervised by serials staff. A paraprofessional in serials
supervises studentsin in processing. these itesmms. Written procedures are
available for each type of item.
