Since document delivery seems to be a topic of interest right
now, I thought I would let everyone know of a discussion group I
have scheduled for AALL this summer. The topic is,
appropriately, Document Delivery.
I envision a group of all types of law librarians (law firm,
corporate, academic, state, county, and court) discussing all
aspects of document delivery...fee-based services run within a
library, in-house document delivery offered to attorneys or
faculty, use of commercial document delivery services, problems
running or dealing with these services, and possibly even ILL.
Such a group could take on small projects. My first thought was
to develop a list of commercial document delivery suppliers and
law library users. Or perhaps a list of statistical packages
available for ILL.
Please let me know what you think of this meeting. Would you
attend such a meeting? (No, I won't hold you to what you say!)
Would you find it helpful in your job? Your comments will help
shape the agenda.
The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 13, 3-4:30 pm. I
will provide more information as we get closer to conference
time.
