MESSAGE:
The AALS Executive Committee has decided to present a one day mini-workshop
at the Annual Meeting in New Orleans in January 1995 on "Uses of Technology
in Research and Teaching." Over the past 10 years the Section on Law and
Computers has been lobbying for more focused attention on this set of
issues. The decision to present the mini-workshop is the Executive
Committee's response this year.
A mini-workshop is a highly visible event that has the potential to draw
many professors to a full day of sessions on the use of technology in law
schools. It offers an important forum and a prominent showcase for
innovation.
The planning committee for the workshop will meet for the first discussion
of the program contents on March 1-2, 1994. The committee members are :
James Hoover, Columbia University hoover@lawmail.law.columbia.edu
Pamela Samuelson, University of Pittsburgh psa2@vms.cis.pitt.edu
Ronald Staudt, Chicago-Kent (Chair) rstaudt@mail.kentlaw.edu
Nicholas Terry, St. Louis University 73524.3463@compuserv.com
All of us are eager to hear your suggestions for topics and speakers for
this mini-workshop.
