FORWARDED MESSAGE from Mary Stultz (MStultz @ SMTP

Do you know of any online sources for current continuing legal education
(CLE) programs or seminars? I use to use one on ABA/NET. I need to
compile programs in requested regions or by dates or by topic on a specific
date.
Thanks.

***** NOTES from Dave Stretch (DSTRETCH @ KENTNET) at 2/8/94 2:42p
CALI, together with Mead Data Central, Inc., has created the CLE Library,
available on LEXIS, to provide a central resource for information about all
CLE seminars and CLE materials available from CLE providers. The CLE
Library became available to LEXIS subscribers on September 18, 1993, and
now includes CLE seminar listings from over 44 CLE providers and lists over
2600 CLE seminars. New seminar listings are added daily. LEXIS
subscribers can search for CLE seminar information by date, title, topics,
faculty names, location, CLE provider, MCLE accreditation, and a variety of
other criteria. CALI's primary role in the development of the LEXIS & CALI
CLE Library is to gather information about CLE seminars from CLE providers,
to process that information, and to forward the data to Mead Data Central
where it is made available to LEXIS subscribers just like any other LEXIS
library.
Development of the CLE Library has exceeded expectations, yet if the
CLE Library is to become the primary resource for CLE information, as many
CLE providers as possible should send information to CALI for listing.
There is a minimal fee for each listing, and LEXIS subscribers are charged
a minimal fee for use of the CLE Library. If your local CLE provider is
not yet sending its CLE seminar information to CALI to be listed in The CLE
Library, please encourage them to do so.
Future enhancement of The CLE Library will include a master listing of
all CLE providers, a master listing of all mandatory CLE administrators
(MCLE), a separate file within The CLE Library for CLE materials not
associated with a CLE seminar, such as audio and video tapes, and practice
manuals, and, in the summer of 1994, direct on-line registration for CLE
seminars and ordering of CLE materials. For additional information about
the LEXIS & CALI CLE Library, please contact David Stretch or Monica Ronczy
at CALI, 565 West Adams Street, Chicago, IL 60661-3691, (312) 906-5307
(voice), (312) 906-5165 (fax).
