Recently one of our attorneys found an error in the _Federal Local
Court Rules_. The last update for the rules for the U.S. District court
for the Eastern District of Virginia, in that publication, is dated 1989 (I
checked with Lawyer's Co-op), and there was a rules update in 1991 (I verified
that with the both the court and their printer/publisher). Lawyer's Co-op has
been informed of the problem and is working on it. I have no idea how
extensive the changes are. The court's rules are published by Darby Printing
(800-848-2995) and must be gotten through them (no, the court doesn't
sell copies of their rules). Darby will be/is issuing a 93(94?) update with
the new rules changes. Until the publisher's update is available, you can
get the recent changes from the court.
The court's rules are available from a number of other sources, this
just happens to be the most popular at our firm, so I thought that you
folks might be interested.
