More on an Internet Room

As Dan said, I'm working on setting up an Internet Room as part of
the AALL meeting in Boston. I'm glad to see your enthusiasm!

As part of my planning, it would help me a great deal to know how
you access the net (MACs, PCs, dumb terminals) and whether or not
you already know how to connect to your home site from a remote
location. Lots of people have gophers or menus or other transparent
connections when they use their systems at home, but find that when
they go to a different hardware environment, they don't always know
what they need to do to connect.

Please respond to me directly (amyers@acs.bu.edu) and not to the
group. Let me know what your hardware set is and, if possible,
what your operating system is (UNIX, VAX, whatever). I'm not
particularly interested in what an individual does as I am with the
totals. [If you already answered this question from TEKNOIDS, please
excuse the duplication.]

Again, we make no promises about getting this in place, but we'll
certainly do our best. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again for your
interest and support.
