I don't know why, but I have similar problems with Lexis but only in our
lab or at other times when several people are dialing simultaneously.
However, I would also like to point out that once I get a connection, I
seem to lose it in the middle much less with Lexis than with Westlaw.
Losing it in the middle is getting very irritating especially with
Dialog on WEstlaw.
Same modem and Procomm doesn't seem to have either problem when dialing
our local VAX for an internet connection or our local online catalog.
I think the local numbers may work better because they don't go through
as many switches.
