"Virtual" law library

As someone who wishes to be educated about the future of libraries from the
many folks out there who are much better informed about such things than me, I
would encourage a dialogue on this subject. I do wish, however, to add a minor
cautionary comment to the suggestion that the "virtual" library is "very near.
" Maybe it is in some institutions, but I can prophesize without much fear
that a totally electronic library is very very far down the line in my library
(and in many others, I would imagine). Again, that's not to say that we should
not be discussing and planning for the future--only that the analysis should
be based in reality as well.--fgh
