I work in a private law firm. I am looking for a service that provides
citations and abstracts to current articles, reports, government info,
etc. via e-mail. The subjects should cover all aspects of law, including
all subject areas, as well as major business and trade publications.
In the past we have used a service called "InfoCite" but it is going out
of business as of 12/31/94. Therefore, I would like to suggest a
replacement service, but am unaware of any.
The advantage InfoCite had is that it provided lists by subject area, not
table of contents by issue of publication. The only possible
alternatives I have considered are Carl Uncover (but I want subject
listings, not table of contents lists) and NERAC's service (which I need
to investigate much more closely).
An additional suggestion has been made: set up ecclipse searches in
LEXIS/NEXIS for each and every attorney for each and every subject. That
would be a true nightmare and not anything I'd like to manage.
Does anyone have any additional suggestions? Please respond directly to
me and I will summarize for the lists if anyone is interested.
TIA!
