Director of the Law Library: Baylor University School of Law, Waco, Texas.
Baylor University School of Law invites applications and nominations for the
position of Director of the Law Library. The Director reports directly to
the Dean of the Law School and is responsible for all aspects of library
operations. A representative of Baylor will be in a position to interview
interested applicants during the AALS annual meeting in New Orleans.
Position Requirements:
J.D. and M.L.S. degrees from accredited schools.
Substantial experience at an academic law library.
Familiarity with library management processes and new legal information
sources.
Demonstrated experience in budget and personnel administration.
Strong communication skills.
Desire and ability to teach.
[In compliance with the ADA, candidates must be able to access all parts of
the law library (consisting of four stack levels, with some shelving to nine
feet high) and to lift books weighing up to twenty pounds.]
Desired for the Post:
Oriented toward service to the faculty and students and to be a creative leader.Effective organizational skills.
Building renovation or new construction experience.
This is a tenure track faculty positon with an excellent benefits package.
Salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience. Applications will
