We recently changed our policy of having patrons reshelve all books. We were
doing so much shelf reading, and finding so much out of order, that we are
now having part-time student employee shelvers reshelve all monograph (call
number) books. We are still asking patrons to reshelve books from large sets
such as reporters and codes where the order is more obvious. Compliance is
marginal.
