Dear Colleagues,
I have been authorized by the ABA's Central and East European Law Initiative
(CEELI) to convey the following message to libraries interested in disposing
of surplus books:
CEELI is coordinating donations of law books from law schools, law
publishers, and law firms for use in CEELI's Commercial Law Centers in
Central and Eastern Europe and selected law libraries in Central and Eastern
Europe and the New Independent States of the former Soviet Union. With
assistance from CEELI's on-ground liaisons and a U.S. based working group of
law librarians, CEELI developed a core list of books for donation, based on
specific requests of lawyers and law professors involved in legal reform in
the region. Libraries interested in donating surplus books to this effort
should fax a list of the materials to Anegla Conway, Director, Research and
Special Projects, CEELI at fax#(202)862-8533. CEELI works through the Sabre
Foundation in Massachusetts to ship the books at no cost.
