Finding Article Topics

Dear Friends,

My recent request regarding the collection of official versus
annotated state statutory codes elicited few responses, though those
received were very much appreciated. It appears that collecting the
annotated versions has posed few problems for most libraries.

Now, I'm looking for creative ideas and/or tips on how to select
article topics. I've been asked this before and have a few standard
lines. Online searches like: circuit w/5 split. Following current,
topical newsletters or other periodicals. Talking to practitioners and/or
faculty in given areas to find out what's happening or what needs to be
written. Perhaps updating a previously written piece, if it would fill a
need. Etc.

This must be something we are all asked from time to time, so there
must be many good suggestions given also. I'd be most appreciative of
hearing from anybody willing to share theirs. If responses are sufficient,
I will gladly summarize for the list.

     With best regards & thanks,
