SYSTEMS LIBRARIAN
Description: Newly created position. This librarian will manage the
planning and implementation of an automated library system, will provide
support and training to system users; will troubleshoot system hardware
and software; will act as liaison to system vendor; will participate in
long-range planning for the law library; will participate in campus
libraries' committees; will be encouraged to participate in professional
development activities.
Requirements: MLS(ALA). Strong background in automated library system
applications. Knowledge of current hardware and software options.
Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to act as a team with a staff
of fourteen. Ability to teach staff and users in small groups.
Effective oral and written communication skills. Strong service
orientation.
Benefits: Salary negotiable from $26,000 based on experience.
Professional position with twenty-two days of vacation plus university
holidays. The University oofers participation in TIAA/CREF and in
medical and dental plans.
