AALL Annual Meeting - Hot Topic

From: Heller James S (jshell@facstaff.wm.edu)

Each year an annual meeting program slot is set aside for a "Hot
Topic." We usually select that program in May or June.

I've received two proposals thus far: 1) The Special Committee on the
Renaissance of Law Librarianship in the Information Age has been
charged to prepare a series of discussion papers to outline the
future of librarianship. The Committee has proposed a program at
which their preliminary ideas would be discussed. 2) Outsourcing an
Entire Library -- proposed in the wake of the Chicago Baker &
McKenzie library outsourcing. (Note that there will be an outsourcing
program at the annual meeting - program I-5; that program will focus
on narrower issues, not the Baker & McKenzie situation).

I encourage AALL members to suggest other topics for consideration
as the "Hot Topic". Please forward them to me.
