Index to Legal Periodicals coverage change

Last week I sent some questions about changes to ILP coverage to a contact
(Pat Kuhr) at H.W. Wilson Company. I thought other subscribers to Law-Lib
might be interested in these responses. Of course the expanded coverage
also applies to WilsonDisc (the CD-Rom version), plus any online versions of
ILP that may be mounted out there.

> I just recently became aware of the ILP title-change to "Index
to Legal Periodicals & Books." Being curious, I examined the Nov. 1994
print cumulation, and the Feb. 1995 issue. However, the
prefatory note page wherein this change in coverage is announced
gives very little information.

Not presently, but it is a good idea.

We include all English language books from LC Marc, UK Marc, and
those books sent to us directly from the publisher (with some further
criteria) in "Cumulative Book Index". Any book from CBI which is
cataloged in Class K, is then transferred to ILP for inclusion.

No children's, none outside geographical scope of US or British
Commonwealth

> the other Wilson periodical indexes?

Currently looking at Education Index. Library literature has been
indexing books for many years now, and in fact does analytics on the
books indexed, if appropriate, e.g., conference preceedings.
