Mike Cassidy of Cassidy Cataloging in NJ would be a good place to
start since this is what his company does. Also, Gaylord Bros.
has an automation division that sells a product called SuperCAT.
It is really a great tool for cataloging records. I never
considered myself a cataloger either, but this would help even me
to look good. Call 800-634-6304 and ask for Connie Sirios
(sirwah) - she'll be able to send it out to you and they often
give a 6 month trial of the software... The key is that you think
carefully about using MARC records to do your cataloging. This
way no matter what you do with them after the initial conversion,
they will continue to live on.

We would like to covert our current library catalog to an
automated system. Currently this library relies on a card
catalog system that is not the LC method, which I would also
like to convert too. My problem is that I am a reference
