In preparation for a program sponsored by the Legal Information
Service to the Public SIS on law libraries and self-help materials to be
presented at the National Conference on Legal Information Issues in
Pittsburgh, I am trying to determine whether academic law libraries
purchase self-help works for their collections. I would also like to know
the reasons why libraries acquire, or choose not to acquire, such materials.
