We are trying to untangle a very confusing mixture of ways we acquire
Restatements in all of their various permutations. I could use some
advice from others who have been through this themselves already.
We THINK we have a standing order to get 2 copies of everything from
ALI. But that doesn't always work (witness the fact that we never got
the bound Unfair Competition that came out this year). We also seem to
have a s/o of sorts with Lawyers Co-op for SOME of the Restatements.
When I asked about it over the phone, the person at the other end said,
"Hmm, this looks complicated, I think I'll have to mail it to you." I
don't know much more now than I did then. In any case, we don't seem to
get everything from anyone in spite of what the records indicate.
I also know that West prints these things for ALI and that some people
get their copies from West.
Meanwhile, faculty members are happily sending us donated copies of
assorted tentative drafts, most of which duplicate what we already have,
but which they seem to get long before we do.
Any ideas on a manageable way to handle these beasts? As always, thanks
