Just to clear the record about a few things here:

1> I do not have any information on the qualifications or the competence of
the B&M library staff. I was only making a point, and I really do find it
hard to believe that B&M's entire library staff were useless. The bulk of
the layoffs in B&M's 10% were library saff members.

2> The consultants to B&M mentioned in a prior message was Peat Marwick. I
have since looked into this and find it is actually Price Waterhouse, and
that B&M is using temporary staff in the library now.

3> It is my opinion that servicing a law firm the size of B&M with staff
from an outside service will be difficult if not impossible, if it is to
save $$$ and ncrease efficiency.
