Nope. These folks aren't striking; they're gone. If the independent
contractors are librarians, making their jobs more difficult will not
enhance the profession. It would be childish.

With all due respect, it is unlikely they will be asking CUNY for ILLs.
The local Chicago community can do as it chooses. I'd be willing to bet
B&M has already borrowed stuff; most of the law firm community does not
subscribe to law-lib.

My test for ILLs is whether there is reciprocity. If other firms can still
borrow from B&M, the issue is (or will be) moot IMHO. And as has already
been pointed out here, if this incident devolves to ILLs exclusively, it
is a non-issue fer sure.
