I agree BUT if you elect not to provide the same level of service
to the new staff (provided that they are professional librarians - can't
stress that enough) on a day-to-day basis who will really suffer? The senior
partners and legal staff or the new library staff? I suspect that it will be
the latter whose lives will be made "hell on earth" becuase they can't get any
cooperation from the local library community. From personal experience again,
it is difficult to do a good job (point of personal, professional pride) if you
are cut off from your colleagues in the same community.

Again, I agree. From some of the messages from the other day I
suspect that other attorneys in the firm were just as shocked and
dismayed and I hope that they are able to do something about it.
