Colleagues,
Several times in the past, there has been some discussion on this list as
to procedures for dealing with student complaints about laptop use in the
library. Recently, it has reared its head again out west here. Some
common wisdom says that as laptops improve, they get quieter so no policy
is needed. Do you find this to be true? Does your library have a policy
in place and, if so, how is it enforced?
