In re the numerous suggestions and success stories for Take Our
Daughters to Work Day, I'd like to just state that this activity
should serve several purposes. It is not intended just to provide a
vehicle for those non-professional parents (usually mothers) who need
to "motivate" their daughters "to achieve" because they want them to
have "more opportunities than they did growing up". A mother or
father who is working in a clerical position is providing an
important service to her/his organization and might just want to have
her/his daughter see that on Take Your Daughter to Work Day!
