Chris: Below find some excerpts from the sign-on message for EXLIBRIS. A
few weeks ago there was a discussion about Internet book dealers, which can
be retrived by searching the EXLIBRIS archives using the standard listserv
database commands. EXLIBRIS is open to all interested; there are a few
others from law libraries besides myself who subscribe. Many (including
myself) have used EXLIBRIS to get bibliographic details on specific items.
For example, I asked for information on an obscure author of a 16th century
treatise on Roman water law and got many helpful responses. EXLIBRIS is a
pretty active list, usually generating 10-30 messages on weekdays. Hope
this helps.
