                     MEAD DATA CENTRAL OFFERS TRAINING
IN NEW RULES FOR SEC'S EDGAR DOCUMENT PREPARATION

DAYTON, OHIO, April 13, 1994 -- Mead Data Central is offering a new
one-day hands-on training workshop on preparing financial data schedules for
attachment to EDGAR filings to the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Effective April 8, the SEC released a new version of its EDGARLink(tm)
software to accommodate a new filing requirement for financial data schedules
to be appended to filings.

The data schedules, which are separate electronic documents in the official
EDGAR submission, are to be tagged or coded appropriately to enable SEC staff
people and eventually analysts outside of the SEC to load the data into
spreadsheets for complete analysis.

As a subcontractor on the SEC's electronic filing system called the Electronic
Data Gathering, Analysis and Retrieval (EDGAR) system, Mead Data Central brings
a high level of experience to its commercial EDGAR Education Program.

The training is scheduled in 10 cities between Thursday, April 14, and July 28.
It is aimed at corporate executives, filing agents, paralegals, attorneys and
others who have responsibility for preparing EDGAR filings.

"This is a big change to the EDGAR filing system, which means a new set of
requirements in regard to the financial data schedules," said Paul Ring, genera
manager of EDGAR services for Mead Data Central, provider of the
LEXIS(R)/NEXIS(R) online information services. "The MDC training classes ensure
that anyone responsible for making EDGAR filings has the latest information and
know-how to complete the schedules correctly."

The training includes a review of changes in the updated release of the SEC's
EDGARLink software, version 3.5, used to create, tag and assemble a submission
file; changes in the print menu; and building a financial data schedule
document.

The update class is intended for those who have been filing using the earlier
version of EDGARLink software. A two-day workshop is also available to new EDGAR
filers.

Price, including lunch, for the data schedule/update training is $395. The
cities and dates for the classes are as follows:

manage the SEC's Analysis and Review Text Management Service.

Under terms of its dissemination subcontract, Mead Data Central must purchase
electronic SEC data services for its own commercial use in arms-length
transactions at the same prices available to all other subscribers.
