I would agree with Jane Hammond's comments and only add that the ABA should
combine both book and microform volume equivalents, and thus report merely
the total of book volumes and volume equivalents.
I believe I might find more informative a statistic showing the number
of titles contained in a law library's on-line catalog and the number of
subscriptions currently maintained. I think that would go further toward
showing the quality of the library, even if stated in quantitative terms.
