Our Library catalogs the AALS conference audiotapes separately, but we only
acquire selected ones--most often the programs sponsored by Section on
Business Associations and the Section on Creditors' and Debtors' Rights.
For subject access, if you are an OCLC member, you can use the new keyword
searching function. I would suggest a construction something like:
fin au law and au schools and ft rec and st [your subject term]
The terms for the "au" label are meant to retrieve works issued/authored by
the Association of American Law Schools. The "ft rec" specifies that you
want format: sound recording. And the "st" label tells OCLC that you want
to search for your chosen term in subject fields, title fields, and Contents
note fields. (Note that if you have more than one subject word, you will
need to separate them with additional Boolean "ands" and labels, e.g. "and
st legal and st reasoning.")
Unfortunately, the Boolean "or" is not operational in OCLC at this time, so
if your subject has synonyms you may need to execute several separate
searches. The charge in the SOLINET region is 54 cents per search.
