There is another, even more serious problem about email subject
headers. Most users (myself excepted) use a topic description
in the "Subj:" field even when they are sending a personal
message that is not directed to any list. There is no way to
know by looking at the directory that a message is personal.
There is no telling how many of these may have been overlooked.
Therefore, if anyone wishes to communicate with me, please
say "Dear Jackie" in the Subj: field. That way I won't miss
your message.
Thanks a lot. Jackie Wright sclibrary@ualr.edu
