We considered putting signs up in carrells to reserve study space for
law student use, but we were concerned that it would create a policing
problem. Any suggestions?
We are open to the public (any one who wants to come in and use our materials
is welcome.) However, we ask that anyone who is not a member of our
law faculty or a law student register at the circulation desk. We have signs
posted at the entrance to this effect. Most people (not all) willingly
comply with our request.
Only members of the University of Akron community (law students, undergrads,
graduate students, law and non-law faculty) may borrow from our
circulating collection. Of course, only a small percentage of our collection
is considered "circulating."
We have been struggling with the problem of being "overrun" by "outsiders"
as many of you have. Unfortunately, I do not think we have come up
with much in the way of workable solutions.
