Kelleen Randolph, a graduate student at UCLA in Latin American Studies,
is getting some assistance from me on a Latin American bibliography project
she is doing on the legal system of Chile. She has prepared the following
statement regarding what her interests are and how persons might help her.
She is still in the process of getting an e-mail account, so until that
is set up, you can mail her through me. Here is the statement of her project:

ATTENTION LATIN AMERICAN SPECIALISTS (LAW IN CHILE) I need help
in researching the evolution of the discipline of Law in Chile.
I need access to biographical information of the individuals who
have made major contributions to the field such as Eugenio Velasco,
Maximo Pacheco, Valentin Letelier, Maria Hostos, Julio Banados
Espinoza Domingo Amunategui and Pedro Nolasco Cruz. Any works by
these individuals regarding changes in the Law field in Chile are
needed. I am searching for Reforma de la Ensenanza del Derecho by
Benito Salgado Astorga. I need sources with information about the
establishment of the Law school at the University of Chile or other
major Law schools. I need to compile a bibliography of major works
in the field. I am looking for information about major
conferences, academies, and societies. I am looking for sources
that deal with specialized areas of Law in Chile. Information in
English or Spanish.

Any assistance you can give will be greatly appreciated.
