BEN H. WEIL, consultant and principal of Ben H. Weil, Inc.,
founded the Copyright Clearance Center, Inc., in 1977 and
served on its board for eleven years. Retired in 1982 from
Exxon Research and Engineering Company as Manager of the
Information Center, he has authored six books, most recently
on Modern Copyright Fundamentals.

BARBARA R. DE YOUNG, Director of CD-ROM/Online Products for
Thomson Professional Publishing's Electronic Publishing
Division, will represent the evolving perspective of
publishers from the early years of the copyright law, written
to protect the print medium, to the current focus on
